K-2 Fun With Fundamentals Winter Training

Wednesday Nights (10 Weeks):

The K-2 Fun with Fundamentals Class is a fun and exciting introduction to the game of lacrosse for all players in Kindergarten-2nd Grade.  We incorporate all of the core lacrosse skills into fun and exciting games/races/competitions that allow our players to not only learn the game, but to love it as well!  Our experienced staff will instruct the boys on technique, coachability and sportsmanship throughout these sessions to prepare the boys for the next level of their development. Lacrosse Equipment Required. 



Skills Covered: Proper Grip, Stick Handling, Dodging, Passing, Catching, Shooting, Defensive Footwork, Defensive Holds, Ground Balls and Much More!

DLAB: Defense Positional Training Program

Wednesday Nights (10 Weeks):

The DLAB Defensive Positional Training Program is designed to help players develop more confidence in the position.  We will cover all of the skills that coaches look for in their defenseman.  Players will work to develop confidence in their ability to: Play good 1v1 on ball defense, throw good effective checks, pick up ground balls and stick handle with confidence, complete passes with accuracy, communicate on a high level, be a confidence passer, shooter, playmaker, and develop a higher lacrosse IQ.  At the end of the session, defenders should have a better understanding of their position and the skills necessary to be successful playing the position. 



Skills Covered: Defensive Footwork, Defensive Checks, Ground Ball Skills, Stick Handling Techniques, Pass/Shot Fakes, Multiple Dodging/Clearing Techniques, Proper Hand Placement/Defensive Holds and much more!

Attack:  Positional Training Program

Wednesday Nights (10 Weeks

The Attack Positional Training Program is designed to help players develop more confidence in the position.  We will cover all of the skills that coaches look for in their attackmen.  Players will work to develop confidence in their ability to: dodge to create shots for themselves,  dodge to create shots for other players, score at a high rate on their time time and room shooting/ on the run shooting/ inside finishing, protect their sticks while engaged with defenders, pass with accuracy and timing and how to move without the ball to create space and opportunities to others. At the end of the sessions, attackmen should have a better understanding of their position and the skills necessary to be successful playing attack. 



Skills Covered: Multiple Move Dodging, Triple Threat Stick Handling, 5n5 moves/finishing, Off Ball Movement, Feeding Cutters, Time and Room Shooting, Shooting on the run, Inside Finishing, Creating Space and much more.

Midfield:  Positional Training Program

The Midfield Positional Training Program is designed to help players develop more confidence in the position.  We will cover all of the skills that coaches look for in their midfielders.  Players will work to develop confidence in their ability to: Dodge to create shots for themselves, dodge to create shots for others, shoot with time and room, shoot on the run, use shot fakes and multiple moves to create more shooting opportunities, create space and free their hands to feed and pass with more accuracy/timing, and play 1v1 defense and create transition opportunities.  At the end of the session, midfielders should have a better understanding of their position and the skills necessary to be successful playing the position. 



Skills Covered: Multiple Move Dodging, Triple Threat Stick Handling, Stepback footwork, Stick Protection, How to create better angles, 1v1 Defensive Skills, Improved Passing Mechanics, Shot Fakes, and Much more!

FOGO  Faceoff  Training Program

The Fogo Faceoff Training Program is designed to help players develop more confidence in the position.  We will cover all of the skills that coaches look for in their FOGOs.  Players will work to develop confidence in their ability to: Win the whistle, clamp effectively, win body position, develop multiple exits, win ground balls and much much more.  At the end of the session, FOGOs should have a better understanding of their position and the skills necessary to be successful taking faceoffs

GOALIE  Training Program

The Goalie Positional Training Program is designed to help players develop more confidence in the position.  We will cover all of the skills that coaches look for in their Goalies.  Players will work to develop confidence in their ability to: Have a strong stance, understand angle play, attack shots, clear with success, and improve their reaction time.   At the end of the session, Goalies should have a better understanding of their position and the skills necessary to be successful between the pipes. 



Skills Covered: Stance, Footwork, Angle Play, Shot Save Technique, Clearing Skills, Communication Skills and Much More!
